The Rainbows Project is a collaboration between Magic of Children in the Arts and Rainbow Club of South Georgian Bay.

Who is eligible to enter?

Elementary School Aged Children Grades JK to 8

How to enter?

1. Create a piece of art, using any type of material and media, to answer the question “What do rainbows mean to you?” Rainbows can mean so much.  For Pride and Magic, it’s the idea of inclusivity, beauty, creativity, equity, and acceptance of diversity.

2. Take a photo of your artwork and your answer, and submit it to magicofchildren@gmail.com

3. Share your artwork on your own and your family’s social media accounts using #CWPride21

4. Some Collingwood and Clearview classes will also participate via virtual art assignments.

What happens to the art?

Artwork may be shared, via social media channels of both Magic of Children in the Arts

and Pride Collingwood, in the weeks leading up to and during Collingwood Pride’s

Virtual Festival, July 16-18, 2021.

Prizes!

All submissions will be entered in a draw to win one of 2 gift certificates from Minds Alive in Collingwood. Draw winners will also be invited to participate in the Rainbow Crosswalk grand opening on Simcoe Street in Collingwood, during the Collingwood Pride Festival July 16/17, 2021.

Helping Magic and Helping Pride

John Miller, local dentist, will donate $5 for each submission, up to a maximum of $1000, to support Magic of Children in the Arts’ mission to celebrate and encourage creativity in the community.
