Rainbow Reads Bookclub

We are so happy to be sharing news that the Meaford Public Library has a new book club, Rainbow Reads! Rainbow Reads welcomes everyone to join, whether they are from the South Georgian Bay area or not. The goal is to gather members of the Queer community and allies to read books that feature diverse identities and emphasize Queer joy.

Their first meeting will be held on February 21 from 6:30pm - 7:30pm via Zoom. Folks can register for the club by clicking the button below:

After registering, members can access the meetings' discussion questions, participate in an online forum to chat about the book, and access the Zoom link for our meetings.

The first book is titled 'You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty' by Akwaeke Emezi. Emezi is a Black, non-binary author who writes from the perspective of a Black, bisexual woman. Access to this book is provided by Meaford Public Library's Interlibrary Loan system and of course, members are welcome to source the book themselves.
